Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, Joe's Market may collect:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- account and sign-in information;
- delivery addresses and pickup preferences;
- cart, order, payment-status and fulfilment records; and
- technical information needed for security, cookies and sessions.
Passwords are handled through ASP.NET Core Identity and are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords.
How we collect and use information
Information is collected when you register, update My Account, use the cart, complete checkout or contact Joe's Market. It is used to provide accounts, process and fulfil orders, communicate about purchases, prevent misuse, keep records and meet legal obligations.
Cookies and sessions
The website uses essential authentication and session cookies to keep customers signed in, protect account access and maintain guest-cart contents. Disabling these cookies may prevent these features from working.
Sharing and overseas services
Personal information may be shared only where reasonably needed with service providers involved in hosting, delivery, payment processing or legal compliance. The providers used for the production website have not yet been finalised. This policy will be updated before information is disclosed overseas or new external services are introduced.
Storage and security
Joe's Market takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for orders, accounts and legal records.
Access, correction and privacy enquiries
Signed-in customers can review and correct common contact and address details in My Account. For other access, correction or privacy requests, use the Contact Us page. A privacy complaint will be reviewed and a response provided within a reasonable time.
